Minqin oasis in the lower reaches of Shiyang River is the main nature barrier for Wuwei Basin. Nearly half of a century, because of double influence of human activity and natural factor, quantity of water in the lower reaches of Shiyang River decreased and ecological environment deteriorated, which influenced sustainable development of this area and surrounding area seriously. The author analyzed the current situation and reason of deteriorated ecological environment in this study. It showed that water must be the centre for control of ecological environment. Development step of water saving agriculture in middle reaches of Shiyang River should be increased. The lower reaches must have certain quantity of water. Unreasonable human activity must be controlled strictly. Minqin oasis was tried to realize virtuous circle of ecological environment.
