Quanshu647,developed from Jingshang57×C180 by Agricultural Science Research Institute of Quanzhou in 1995, was examined and approved by the Fujian Crop Variety Examination Committee in 2001.The new variety performed high yield, superior quality， high dry matter and starch content ，resistance to Fusarrium Oxysporum f.sp.batatas and Psendomonas Solanacearum Smits ，and storability. The variety had been largely used in production, and it’s accumulated planting area had covered 2000hm2 by 2002. And the results of our studies showed that the variety was a good hybrid parent, and some good strains had been obtained from it.
