Abstract

The Lincao (mai) No. 1 has strong antifreeze, well adaptability and high yield of grass, the yield of fresh grass reached to 60000~75000kg/hm2, the protein got to 19~27%, when planted in many places of Shanxi and popularized in Linfen form 2000 to 2003. This paper introduces the source, bio-character and merit of the new grazing variety, Lincao (mai) No. 1.The advantage and feasibility of Lincao (mai) No. 1 were advanced, and this will have important significance to stockbreeding development.
