Abstract

Weihua No.6 is a new peanut variety which was bred systematically between 79266 as female parent and Luhua No.11 as male parent by Weifang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Shandong and Hebei Provincial New Peanut Varieties Trial from 1998 to 2001, Production Test and High-yield Demonstration showed the variety is characterized by early ripening, high and stable yield, big fruit and big kernel, high rate of kernel, good storability and good taste. The variety was released by Crops Varieties Approval Committee of Shandong and Hebei Province in 2001 and 2002. It is suitable for cultivation in North China.
