Preliminary Report on the Effect of the Potassium on Hybrid Maize in Jianghuai Region

Abstract

The results of the experiment indicated that Hybrid Maize could obtain the highest yields and the best economic performances as K application was 150.0 kg/hm2. The highest yield of Hybrid Maize reached 7065 kg/hm2 and increased by 9.9% than CK. The income was raised about 892 yuan/hm2 and the value cost ratio reached 2.2. The results also showed that potassium content in the soil decreased and cannot keep balance when the K was applicated under 150.0kg/hm2.
