Selection of Organic Ecotype Soilless Culture Media for Color Paper

Abstract

This paper took color paper as trial sample and cinder, mushroom residue, saw dust, rice residue and sand as media. By using sterilized organic fertilizer to replace chemical nutrition liquid, organic ecotype soilless cultivation was conducted and the similar circle arrangement method was used in the experiment. 8 medium formulas and 2 fertilizer formulas were tested during the growth of muskmelon to compare and analyses their influence. The result indicated that soilless culture was better than soil culture. The growth of the trial sample enhanced apparently on the medium of A1B1 (1 cinder and 3 mushroom residue, and 5 kg cotton dust and 5 kg muck per m3). The second favorite medium was A6B1 (2 cinder, 6 mushroom residue, 1 rice dust, 1 saw dust, and 5kg cotton residue and 5kg muck per m3).
