Effects of Different Organic Fertilizers on Yield and Quality of Purple Sweet Potato

Abstract

To investigate the effects of different organic fertilizers on the yield and quality of purple sweet potatoes, a field experiment was conducted in 2023 at the experimental base of Tai’an Academy of Agricultural Sciences using ‘Taizishu 1’ as the test sweet potato variety. Six treatments were designed, including no fertilization, single chemical fertilizer, and 50% reduced chemical fertilizer combined with pig manure, cow manure, sheep manure, and chicken manure. The study analyzed the impacts of these treatments on agronomic traits, dry matter distribution, yield, and quality of purple sweet potatoes. The results showed that the purple sweet potato stem treated with pig manure had the thickest diameter, at 14.95 cm, an increase of 15.71% compared to the single chemical fertilizer treatment; the aboveground dry weight of sheep manure treatment was the heaviest, at 197.62 g, 30.33% higher than the single chemical fertilizer treatment; the proportion of dry matter distribution in the tubers treated with cow manure was the highest, at 71.82%, which increased by 11.47% compared to the single chemical fertilizer treatment; the yield and commodity rate of purple sweet potato tubers treated with pig manure were the highest, which were 48607.95 kg/hm2 and 79.25%, respectively; the soluble sugar content in purple sweet potato tubers treated with pig manure was the highest, at 38.75 mg/g, significantly higher than other treatments. Research has shown that the combination of pig manure and chemical fertilizers can promote the coordinated growth of the aboveground and underground parts of purple sweet potatoes, promote the rational distribution of dry matter, and thereby increase the quantity, rate, weight, yield, and soluble sugar content of commercial sweet potatoes. The effect is superior to the combination of other organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers. This research provides a theoretical foundation for high-quality and high-yield cultivation techniques of purple sweet potatoes.

研究紫薯花青素(anthocyanins from purple sweet potato,PSPAs)对高血脂大鼠的血脂水平和抗氧化能力的影响,并对其主要成分进行分析。将Sprague-Dawley(SD)大鼠分为空白组和高脂组,分别喂养基础饲料和高脂饲料4 周,测定其体质量及血脂水平,判断大鼠高血脂模型是否建立成功。再将建模成功的高脂组大鼠分为模型组、阳性对照组和PSPAs低、中、高剂量组,测定大鼠体质量及脏体指数、血清中血脂水平、肝组织中的超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase,SOD)活性和丙二醛(malondialdehyde,MDA)含量。结果表明,PSPAs对大鼠体质量、肝脏指数和脾脏指数的增加有一定的抑制作用,而可以提高心脏指数;PSPAs能降低高血脂大鼠血清总胆固醇、甘油三酯、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇、载脂蛋白B水平,降低动脉粥样硬化指数(atherosclerosis index,AI)AI1、AI2和肝组织中MDA的含量,能提高大鼠血清高密度脂蛋白胆固醇、载脂蛋白AⅠ含量和肝组织SOD活性,其中以PSPAs高剂量组的降脂作用和抗氧化效果最好。以上结果表明PSPAs有降低大鼠血脂、抗氧化作用。

Purple sweet potato is a functional food rich in anthocyanins that possess disease-preventive properties. Anthocyanins are known to possess potent antidiabetic properties. However, the effect of the anthocyanin fraction (AF) from purple sweet potato on hepatic lipid metabolism remains unclear. Our hypothesis is that AF inhibits hepatic lipid accumulation through the activation of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathways in vitro and in vivo. In this study, we evaluated body weight, liver histology, and hepatic lipid content in high-fat diet (HFD)-fed ICR mice treated with AF. In addition, we characterized the underlying mechanism of AF's effects in HepG2 hepatocytes through Western blot analysis. Anthocyanin fraction (200 mg/kg per day) reduced weight gain and hepatic triglyceride accumulation and improved serum lipid parameters in mice fed an HFD for 4 weeks. Anthocyanin fraction significantly increased the phosphorylation of AMPK and acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACC) in the liver and HepG2 hepatocytes. In addition, AF down-regulated the levels of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 and its target genes including ACC and fatty acid synthase (FAS). The specific AMPK inhibitor compound C attenuated the effects of AF on the expression of lipid metabolism-related proteins such as SREBP-1 and FAS in HepG2 hepatocytes. The beneficial effects of AF on HFD-induced hepatic lipid accumulation are thus mediated through AMPK signaling pathways, suggesting a potential target for the prevention of obesity.Copyright © 2011 Elsevier Inc. 在人工控水条件下, 以15个甘薯品种为试验材料, 设置干旱胁迫和正常灌水2个处理, 研究了干旱胁迫条件下不同甘薯品种产量和农艺性状差异。根据产量抗旱系数法分级, 抗旱品种(抗旱系数≥0.6)为济薯21、济薯25、济徐23、济薯15、烟薯25; 中等抗旱品种(0.4≤抗旱系数<0.6)为徐薯18、济薯26、北京553、济紫薯2号、济薯18; 不抗旱品种(抗旱系数<0.4)为郑薯20、济紫薯3号、济薯22、济紫薯1号、凌紫。干旱胁迫导致甘薯的叶片数、蔓长、叶面积系数和生物量下降, 品种间降幅不同, 抗旱性强的品种降幅小, 抗旱性弱的品种降幅大。这些农艺性状指标与甘薯品种的抗旱性呈显著正相关, 可作为甘薯品种抗旱性鉴定的指标。徐薯18可作为甘薯品种抗旱性鉴定的标准品种。

【目的】可溶性糖含量是甘薯块根食用品质和加工性能的重要指标,研究可溶性糖组分特征及其与食用品质的关系,有助于了解块根可溶性糖组分在加工中的变化及其对食味的影响,为甘薯鲜食与加工的品种选择、专用品种选育和种质资源利用提供依据。【方法】采用高效液相色谱蒸发光散射检测器法(HPLC-ELSD)测定102份甘薯种质资源的生薯和蒸熟薯的可溶性糖组分含量,对不同干物率类型的块根可溶性糖组分特征进行分析,并用相关性和逐步线性回归分析可溶性糖组分与食味的关系及其对食味的贡献。【结果】甘薯的生薯和熟薯均含有果糖、葡萄糖、蔗糖、麦芽糖4种可溶性糖。在生薯中,蔗糖含量最高,平均含量为25.79 mg·(g·FW)<sup>-1</sup>,占生薯可溶性糖的45.31%;果糖和葡萄糖含量相近,关系密切,果糖含量(y)和葡萄糖含量(x)的拟合方程为y=0.807x+1.275;麦芽糖含量最低,平均含量为6.79 mg·(g·FW)<sup>-1</sup>,仅占生薯可溶性糖的11.92%。生薯可溶性糖含量高低主要由果糖和葡萄糖含量决定,通常情况下,低干物率品种具有更高的生薯可溶性糖和果糖含量,生化甜度更好。在蒸熟过程中块根中可溶性糖含量变化主要在于产生了大量麦芽糖,麦芽糖含量从生薯的0.96—24.67 mg·(g·FW)<sup>-1</sup>提高至14.80—136.16 mg·(g·FW)<sup>-1</sup>。熟薯可溶性糖含量高低是由麦芽糖含量决定的,中、高干物率类型具有更高的熟薯可溶性糖和麦芽糖含量。甘薯块根食味增量主要来源于蒸熟过程中产生的可溶性糖;麦芽糖、果糖、蔗糖是甘薯块根食味的重要影响因子;麦芽糖对食味增量的贡献率近50%,对香味和质地的作用尤为突出;果糖对黏度的贡献最大,而蔗糖对质地的贡献优于果糖。【结论】生薯可溶性糖和果糖含量是反映甘薯生薯甜度的重要指标,熟薯可溶性糖、麦芽糖含量是反映甘薯食味的重要指标。麦芽糖、果糖、蔗糖是影响甘薯块根食用品质及加工性能的重要可溶性糖组分。筛选出甘薯块根可溶性糖特异种质11份。
