In Vitro Culture and Standardized Production Technology of Bergenia scopulosa

Abstract

The paper aims to explore the in vitro culture and rapid propagation technology of Bergenia scopulosa and lay a foundation for its industrialized production and application. Shoot tips from elite individual plants were used as explants. Comparative studies on proliferation and rooting culture were conducted by designing media with different component ratios. The proliferation coefficient, rooting rate, and transplant survival rate were statistically analyzed using the completely randomized single-factor experimental design and the least significant difference (LSD) method. For proliferation culture: when cultured in MS+NAA 0.01 mg/L+BA 0.5 mg/L, the monthly proliferation coefficient reached 2.55; for rooting culture: the 1/2MS+ IBA 0.5 mg/L showed a significant rooting effect, with a rooting rate of 85% and a transplant survival rate of 75%. This study established an in vitro culture and rapid propagation technology system for Bergenia scopulosa and developed standardized production techniques. The research results can provide technical references for the industrialized production of high-quality Bergenia scopulosa varieties and their landscape application in the Yangtze River Delta region.
