Study on the Pigments in Prunus×Cistena ‘Pissardii’ and its Photosynthetic Characters

Abstract

The experiment determined the dynamic change of the pigments in the leaves of Prunus×Cistena ‘Pissardii’ .The content of anthocyanin is higher in spring and autumn. But the content of chlorophyll is higher in summer. Cu2+ and Fe3+ can improve the absorbance value of chlorophyll 23% and anthocyanin 10.9% respectively. The pigments are unstable under light, the stronger the light is, the more quickly they decompose.Use the LI-6400 portable photosynthesis system to detect the photosynthetic characters of Prunus×Cistena ‘Pissardii’. Double peaks appear in the curve of diurnal and annual variation of photosynthetic rate and one peak in the curve of transpiration rate. The highest peak in a day was appeared on 10:00 A.M. in photosynthetic rate curve and on 12:00 in transpiration rate curve. In a year the highest peak appears in June and August.
