Effects of seed pelleting agent XSW-3 on growth and yield of direct-seeded rice were studied by means of experiment of field direct-seeding with coated rice seed. Meanwhile its effects were compared with those of a export seed coating agent. The results show that this seed pelleting agent not only could promote seed germination and seedling growth,enhance seedling qualities and adult seedling rate,increase seedling resistance to revese environments, but also could prevent diseases and pests,and enhance yield of direct-seeded rice. The adult seedling rate ,root vigor and proline content of coating treatment increased 17.4%,23.3% and 34.8% compared with uncoated controls, respectively. The prevention rate to main diseases and pests was 79.1%~97.6%.The yield of rice increased by 11.4%. The general effects of this seed pelleting agent were better than those of the export agent used in this experiment.
