The objects of crop condition monitoring are for early yield estimation and to support crop management. This paper summaries the evolution and methods of studying on crop condition monitoring using remote sensing in our country, and points out that the spatial resolution of remote sensing image selected is very low, and the monitoring index NDVI is limited. Therefore the accuracy should be improved. The integration of 3S (RS, GIS, GPS) which used in the field is the direction of development, and the diagnosis of crop condition will be the emphasis of studying.
