Linquan, Lujiang, Bengbu and Huangshan city were selected. Serum in cattle of different breeds, different sex, and different age were sampled from Linquan County, Lujiang county, dairy cow ground of Bengbu city and Huangshan city. The concentration of boron in serum was determined by curcuma colorimetry, and the result was analyzed by statistics method. Results showed that the concentration of boron in serum of cattle in Linquan county, Lujiang county, dairy cow ground of Bengbu city and Huangshan city was reduced in proper order. There was a extremely notable difference (P<0.01) of the concentration of boron in serum of cattle among Linquan conty and Lujiang county, dairy cow ground of Bengbu city and Huangshan city. There was no remarkable difference (P>0.05) of the concentration of boron in serum of cattle in Lujiang county, dairy cow ground of Bengbu city and Huangshan city. The boron concentration of different breed’s cattle was compared and the boron concentration of cattle, water buffalo and dairy cow was reduced in proper order. There was a significant difference (P<0.01) of serum boron between cattle and water buffalo, dairy cow, no remarkable difference (P>0.05) of serum boron between water buffalo and dairy cow. The serum boron concentration of male water buffalo was higher than that of female, but no notable difference (P>0.05).
