The Research Progresses on the Relationship Between Endogenous Phytohormones and Development in Rapeseed

Abstract

The development of rapeseed is regulated by endogenous phytohormones. Gibberellins play important roles in the floral initiation. Auxin, cytokinin and abscisic acid contents also affect male sterility. In the development of pods and seeds, auxin level is closely related to sink strength, cytokinin level partly determines the final pod number, abscisic acid level is related to seed maturation. During dormancy of seeds, abscisic acid plays an important part. In this paper, the research progresses on the effects of endogenous phytohormones to the development in rapeseed were reviewed.
