Advancement of Agricultural Expert System in the Plant Disease and Insect Pests Control

Abstract

Since come into being, agricultural expert system (shortening AES) has been known increasingly by people and widely applied in agriculture. From the 60’s of the 20th to these days, a large number of AES have been developed in many kinds of agriculture fields. With the technology development of information and the perfection of AES exploitation, AES would become substitutable. The paper briefly summarized the produce and progress of the AES of nation and foreign country. The advancement of the Plant Disease and Insect Pests Control Expert System (shortening PDIPCES) is discussed, and the PDIPCES developed and its main technique character is briefly introduced. The article also analyzed the existed problems where were insufficiency of basic study and the excessive request for the users’ culture in PDIPCES and raised their settlement method. It point out the combination with 3S, network and integration is the direction of PDIPCES and the applied prospect of the AES in the future.
