A Research Progress on Water-saving Irrigation about Tomato in Protected Cultivation

Abstract

Protected cultivation is an important aspect in development of our agriculture, and water-saving irrigation is also imperative. Now different techniques of water-saving irrigation have been more broadly applied to cultivation under cover, so it is necessary to adopt different irrigation technologies on the base of idiographic culture system in protected field. In present cultivation under cover, tomato is one of the vegetables greatly cultivated. This paper briefly introduced the level of research on water-saving irrigation in tomato cultivation under cover, involving characteristics of different irrigation techniques, and pointed out the problems that had existed in these fields, with some advices given.
