Effects of Plant Hormone on Direct Induction of Shoot Derived from Gerbera Flowerets

Abstract

The impact of cotykinins and auxins on the differentiation of shoots of gerbera flowerets was studied. The effect of KT was slightly less than that of 6-BA. 5.0 mg/L 6-BA was the best. Among the different auxins, NAA was the best, then IBA, finally 2,4-D. 0.2 mg/L NAA was optimal. Although higher concentrations of auxins were not suitable for the induction of shoots, they were good for elongation of shoots.
