Inhibitory Effect of Chitinase Producing Bacteria CHB101 to Magnaporthe Grisea

Abstract

Bacterium CHB101 was obviously antagonistic to Magnaporthe grisea through dual culture method, producing an inhibitory belt up to 11.0mm in width. Microscopically observed, the hyphae were altered in morphology, including necrosis of the hyphal wall, concentration and leakage of the cytoplasma. On water-agar plate, CHB101 inhibited the spore germination of Magnaporthe grisea. The higher the concentration of CHB101, the stronger the inhibition was.
