Abstract

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors are nuclear receptors involved in lipid homeostasis. PPARδ/βshows a broad expression pattern with higher levels in tissues with active lipid metabolism, such as adipose tissue, small intestine and muscle. Recent studies have linked this receptor to implantation and development of embryos.
