Quantity Analysis on High Molecular Weight Gluteim Subunit loci and Quality Traits of wheat varieties in Huang-Huai Region

Abstract

The high molecular weight glutein subunits (HMW-GS), the HMW-GS’ composition and the relationship with protein content and sedimentation value of 77 wheat varieties in Huang-Huai region were studied by means of regression, correlation and path analysis. The results showed that the regression and path effects of the three loci in Glu-1 on protein content and sedimentation value would be represented as: Glu-D1>Glu-B1>Glu-A1. The co-relation of Glu-D1、Glu-B1, and protein contend and sedimentation value was significant. The subunit effects of the three loci in Glu-1 on protein content and sedimentation value were as 1>2*>Null,14+15>7+8>17+18>7,5+10>2+12>4+10. The protein content and sedimentation value were predicted by the regressive analysis on the HMW-GS` composition, the reliability of the predicted results was significant.
