The Performance of Characteristics of Tolerance to Photooxidation and Its Relationship with Stability of Grain Quality of Rice in Early and Late Seasons

Abstract

Nine rice varieties with different characteristics of tolerance to photooxidation and grain quality were used to study on the performance of tolerance to photooxidation and grain quality and as well as their interaction in this experiment. The result indicated that there was not remarkable correlation between characteristics of tolerance to photooxidation and rice quality, but significantly correlation between characteristics of tolerance to photooxidation and stability of grain quality such as chalky and its rice rate, milled rice rate, head milled rice rate, worn rice rate and amylose content in early and late seasons, showing the higher tolerance to photooxidation the better stability of rice quality in early and late seasons.
