The Difference of Chlorophyll a Fluorescence Parameter in two Common beans Varieties with Heat Tolerance Under High Temperature Stress

Abstract

Two different heat-tolerance varieties of common bean (Phaseolus vulgarize L.var.85-CT&BBL-47) were used to study the difference of chlorophyll a fluorescence induction kinetics under high temperature stress (37℃/27℃).The results showed that the chlorophyll fluorescence Fv/Fm and Fv/Fo as well aselectron translate rate (ETR) of the two varieties decreased under high temperature stress, but the decrease in heat tolerance variety (85-CT) were less than in heat sensitive variety (BBL-47) .The second kurtosis(M) of chlorophyll fluorescence induction kinetics disappeared in BBL-47 under high temperature stress.
