Shading treatment (shaded with double shading web resulting in the light intensity reducing to the 11 percent of control )was carried out and 200μM?L-1 salicylic acid was respectively sprayed to 8-year-old ‘Da Jiu Bao’ peach trees (Prunus persica) in three different developing stages such as young fruit stage, hard drupe stage, and mature stage. The results showed that salicylic acid significantly improved the contents of GAs, ABA, and ZA in young fruit stage and mature stage, and improved the content of IAA in hard drupe stage and mature stage, but reduced the content of IAA in young fruit stage in the shading condition. At the same time, salicylic acid also improved the activity of sucrose synthase and the content of sucrose of fruit in young fruit stage and mature stage. So salicylic acid significantly improved the sink strength of peach fruit and the content of sucrose of fruit under the shading condition.
