The physiological and biochemical changes of cut lily cold storedat (2±0.5)℃ for 10 days were studied. The results showed that after cold storage, the rapid leaf yellowing was accompanied by quick increase of respiration rate and POD activity and decline of chlorophyll, soluble protein and carbohydrate contents. When cut Lily were pretreated with 200mg·L-1 GA3 before cold storage, the decrease of chlorophyll, soluble protein and carbohydrate contents and CAT activity were delayed, the accumulation of MDA were reduced, and the respiration rate and POD activity were inhibited. Leaf yellowing of cut Lily was retarded effectively by GA3 pretreatment.
