Progress on Mapping Quantitative Trait Loci for Secondary Quantitative Traits in Dairy Cattle Using Microsatellite Markers

Abstract

Mapping of quantitative trait loci for some important secondary traits including reproductive traits(calving ease, ovulation rate),type traits(udder trait, foot and leg trait, body conformation trait),health traits(somatic sell score and mastitis resistance)and production efficiency traits(productive life and lactating speed ,etc)in dairy cattle were introduced in this review.
