Different ways (liquid medium induction and solid medium induction)were applied to culture rice anther .The result showed the liquid medium induction was similar to the solid in cultural time ,but the liquid culture could increase about 10% in the ratio of callus induction and freqency of green plantlet differentiation .Therefore ,the method was a feasible way of increasing anther culture efficiency in rice .
